We’ve amped up our action-packed programme of activities
and are excited to invite you along to our

Science of Summer!

A whole summer of different topics & themes to epxlore.

Checkout each week below and click through to book online!

CARBON

Carbon will capture the imagination with a myriad of investigative topics to explore. We’ll be discovering about the human body and taking a journey through what makes us human, and the systems that keep us going. Turning to Chemistry for an adventure in acids and alkalis as we visit the pH Factory. Fire it up with an energetic look at Electricity and magnetism with plenty of hair raising experiences, but wait! It might be time for damage control! Call in the Mad Scientists we have a disaster zone incoming!

COPPER

Dust yourself down and get down to business as we dig for dino bones and uncover ancient artefacts. There’s Chemical Mysteries to untangle and we’ll encourage you to feel the power of the force and forge your alliances as we get gyroscopic with the Jedi Training. But we won’t need to force you to have fun with the explorations on offer during Newton day! There’s one thing for certain – there’s no copp out with Copper Week!

HELIUM

Things get really wild in this week with Animal Planet taking over as we explore everything from creepy crawlies to our furry friends. There’s no time to waste as we delve into the science of Circus skills that will pit your senses and balance to the limits. An exploratory look at Chemical Reactions as we get Junior reactive! But all this energy’s gotta come from somewhere so we’re powering up the wind turbines and turning up the heat on climate change in Sustainability lab! Don’t forget to pack your thinking caps for our Mission:Creative Friday! Which scenario will you help solve this week?

NITROGEN

Do you have super science senses? You certainly will after immersing yourself in this week of Super Science Sleuthing! We’re looking at our super human senses, delving into the science of crime science investigation and plumbing the depth of both the sea of tranquility and space, before the deep blue of our own planet! Covering all bases, nitrogen is a fantastic blend of physics, biology, technology and the natural world! Come see for yourself.

OXYGEN

We shed light on the fundamentals on why things glow in the dark and how we see the rainbow of colours! Let imaginations run wild as we’re inspired by the tales of Roald Dahl and concoct some marvellous medicines. Be sure to stick with it through to slime and super sticky stuff to get to grips with some adhesive science and top the week off by pushing your limits and discover about the human body and it’s movements. Breathe! It’s Oxygen week!

The natural world and the ecosystems around us are the foundations to the explorations to kick off Neon week. There’s plenty of chemistry in the Chemworks Lab as we look at lightning fast reactions and awe inspiring results! To infinity and beyond is where we’ll be blasting off to as we soar across the solar system and look at some pretty nifty space tech! Parachutes at the ready, Bernoulli’s principles take flight in WING IT! A day filled with aerospace design and build. Phew! What a week!
