Childcare Vouchers

We can accept childcare vouchers at all our camp venues in England.

We can unfortunately only accept childcare vouchers for our half term and summer camps. We are unable to accept these for our After School Programmes.

To book with childcare vouchers please follow these steps:

First, make sure you are registered to our booking site.

Then enter your account and begin to process your booking selecting your desired venue and dates.

Continue to “Proceed with Payment”.

Then choose the option ‘Pay via Alternative Payment Method’ and enter the relevant details about the voucher provider scheme you will be using, and how much you will be paying via this method.

If you are using a Government Tax-Free Childcare account please put “TFC” in the box entitled ‘Payment provider / method’.

*Enter the date you are making the booking in the box entitled ‘Please confirm the date this payment was made’. Mad Science does not ask you to make the payment before creating the booking.*

Then click submit.

You will then receive a confirmation email that contains all the information necessary to find us on your relevant provider scheme. *Please check your spam email if you do not immediately see this*

You will then need to complete payment, as described in the automated email, by transferring the total amount via your childcare voucher, or Government Tax-Free, account.

Once receipt of this has been confirmed by Mad Science, you will receive a further confirmation email to show your booking has now been successful. Please be mindful that this can take up to 14 days to confirm as we receive a high volume of these during peak times.

What ages can attend camp?

We can welcome children aged 5-11 to camp with us.

Thanks to our hands-on nature, and enquiry based sessions, groups will be run as mixed ages and differentiated by interest to ensure all inquisitive minds are suitably challenged. Therefore siblings attending together will be together during the sessions.

What happens if my child has an allergy or medical condition?

We take allergies and medical needs very seriously. Please inform us at the time of booking so we can make necessary accommodations. If your child requires medication (e.g., inhalers, EpiPens), please provide clear instructions for our staff in the additional medical tab of your account. This information NEEDS TO BE in the section labelled Mild, Moderate, Severe for it to be seen my instructors on the register.

Lunch & Snacks

Do you provide food at the camp?

No, we do not provide meals. Parents must pack a nut-free lunch, snacks, and a water bottle for their child.

Are there any food restrictions?

Yes, we operate a nut-free policy to protect children with allergies. Please do not send any food containing nuts.

Special Needs & Additional Support

Can children with additional needs attend?

We aim to be as inclusive as possible. If your child has additional needs, please contact us before booking to discuss how we can best accommodate them. If your child requires a 1-1 support in a school based setting or attends a setting with very low ratios, we require a 1-1 at camp for safety reasons.

Can parents stay and watch?

We encourage independence and want children to fully engage in the experience. However we understand that parents want to check their child is settling in well, please contact us so we can talk you through how we can keep you informed.
